Space Blues capped an excellent day as his juvenile colt Power Blue recorded a landmark victory for the sire with a brilliant performance in the G1 Phoenix Stakes over six furlongs at the Curragh on Saturday, 9 August.
Already a consistent Group performer, Power Blue took his form to a new level with a commanding front-running display, staying on well to defeat G2 Railway Stakes winner True Love by a length and a half.

Bred by Finanza Locale Consulting, Power Blue was a £44,000 yearling. He is the first winner out of the Group-placed mare Visions, herself a daughter of Classic winner Worthadd and a granddaughter of Dubawi, making Power Blue inbred 2x3 to the leading sire.
Space Blues has enjoyed an exceptional day, with his daughter Harlequin Angel becoming a new winner at Newmarket, and his full sister Dance To The Music remaining unbeaten when landing the G3 Sweet Solera Stakes, also on Newmarket’s July Course.
