First-crop sire Palace Pier added a fifth new winner to his tally when Khuskhas landed a competitive maiden over six furlongs on just her second start at Yarmouth on Friday, 27 June.
Trained by Kevin Philippart De Foy, Khuskhas was settled in mid-division and had to wait patiently for a clear run but showed a great turn of foot to come clear and win going away by a length at the line.
A filly to follow? 👀

Owned and bred by Colin Murfitt, Jane Meade and S Smith, Khuskhas is out of the unraced Dansili mare Papaver, a half-sister to G1 Irish Derby and G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner Westover and G3 winner Monarchs Glen.
A World Champion miler, Palace Pier has now registered five winners in Great Britain and Ireland at a better strike rate than any other first crop sire. Among his winners are Godolphin homebred Morris Dancer, and A Bit Of Spirit, who was an impressive debutant scorer at Newbury.
