Three-year-old Dubawi colt Parachutiste took full advantage of a drop in class to run out an easy winner of the Listed Grand Prix de Clairefontaine over a mile and a half on Friday, 15 August.
Settled towards the rear under Mickael Barzalona, Parachutiste got a beautiful run up the inside rail and quickened clear when asked for an effort, winning by just over a length at the line.

Bred by Ecurie de Monceaux & Skymarc Farm, Parachutiste is out of the Group-winning Muhaarar mare Paix, making him a three-parts brother to Night Of Thunder’s dual Group-placed juvenile filly Skydance, who could make her next appearance in the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Parachutiste went unsold for €580,000 at the Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale, and his full brother will be offered at this year’s edition in just a few days’ time.
Dubawi has sired no fewer than 22 individual Stakes winners this year, with four coming at the highest level. Just recently, his son Space Blues became the fastest stallion from the Dubawi line to sire a G1 winner when Power Blue landed the G1 Phoenix Stakes. That formed a brilliant weekend for Dubawi, with his son Rebel’s Romance also winning the G1 Grosser Preis von Berlin.
