Blue Point looks to have a highly progressive colt on his hands as Skukuza took the step up into Stakes company in his stride with a comfortable success in the Listed Colm McLoughlin Celebration Stakes over a mile at the Curragh on Sunday, 29 June.
Making all the running under Ryan Moore, Skukuza quickened clear in the straight to win unchallenged by just over two lengths.

Owned and bred by Cayton Park Stud, Skukuza is the fourth foal out of the Group-placed South African mare Shingwedzi, who herself is out of a half-sister to French Oaks winner Bright Sky.
This was Blue Point’s second new Stakes winner this month, after Reyevka landed the Listed Prix Marchand d’Or before running an excellent third in the G1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
Blue Point enjoyed an excellent Royal meeting, siring back-to-back winners when My Cloud (a half-brother to five-time G1 winner and exciting first-crop sire Palace Pier) took the Royal Hunt Cup, before Miss Information followed up in the very next race with victory in the Kensington Palace Stakes.
