Night Of Thunder’s excellent season continued as his two-year-old daughter Hope Queen won the Listed Star Stakes at Sandown on Thursday, 24 July. The promising juvenile is now unbeaten in two starts for trainer Karl Burke.
Settled just behind the leaders, Hope Queen travelled strongly into the contest, and jockey Clifford Lee had to be patient for a run, but she quickened well when shown daylight to win going away by a head at the line.

Bred by Floors Stud, Hope Queen has a beautiful pedigree, being the second foal out of the once-raced Invincible Spirit mare Motion, who herself is out of Champion mare Attraction - making her a half-sister to G2 winner Elarqam and Dubawi’s Stakes scorer Maydanny.
Night Of Thunder is enjoying an outstanding season, with 20 individual Stakes winners in 2025, including four at the highest level. His highlights this season include Ombudsman, now rated the best older horse in Europe, and Desert Flower, who became her sire’s first Classic winner with victory in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket.
