Too Darn Hot’s exceptional four-year-old filly Fallen Angel landed a fourth victory at the highest level with a gutsy performance in the G1 Matron Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown on Saturday, 13 September.
Settled nicely up with the pace under James Doyle, the Karl Burke-trained filly took up the lead in the final two furlongs and battled on gamely to hold off a late challenge from Exactly, winning by half a length.
Group 1 glory!

Bred by Branton Court Stud, Fallen Angel is the fourth foal out of G2 winner Agnes Stewart (Lawman), making her a half-sister to Stakes performer Devine Jewel.
It has been another fruitful season for impressive young sire Too Darn Hot, who has registered four winners at the highest level to date, including recent G1 Bayerisches Zuchtrennen winner Tornado Alert.
Too Darn Hot recently returned to Australia for the southern hemisphere season, where he has also enjoyed tremendous success, including a Stakes-race double at Caulfield just two weeks ago with Tropicus taking the G3 Heath 1,100 and Too Darn Discreet landing the Listed Heatherlie Stakes.
