Night Of Thunder’s exceptional year continued when his juvenile colt Bow Echo remained unbeaten in three starts with a commanding victory in the G2 Royal Lodge Stakes over a mile at Newmarket on Saturday, 27 September.
Already a winner at Listed level in the Ascendant Stakes on just his second start, Bow Echo was settled in behind the leaders under Billy Loughnane and made smooth progress to lead with a furlong to run, winning easily by a length at the line.

Just yesterday, Zeus Olympios improved his own unbeaten record when landing the G2 Joel Stakes, also over a mile at Newmarket. Night Of Thunder is also the sire of the world’s highest-rated older horse, Ombudsman, who has registered victories in the G1 Juddmonte International and G1 St James’s Palace Stakes this year.
